Constitution of the Lynchburg College Anime Society
Name:
The Lynchburg College Anime Society
Purpose:
The LCAS intends to expose students to Japanese Animation and Japan's culture in general as it relates to the related topics. It will focus on "anime," "manga," video games, and music, but will remain broad so as to include other areas of interest, all of which will be open to discussion.

Membership:
Membership will be open to all Lynchburg College students and faculty.
Offices:
President:
Resides at all meetings, can call special meetings if necessary, run the meetings, act as a spokesperson for the LCAS, and coordinate expenditures.
Vice President:
Assumes the duties of the President in his or her absence, coordinates fundraising, confer with the President over important matters, and all other activities assigned by the President.
Secretary:
Keeps a record of proceedings, keeps a current roll of all members, be responsible for advertising, and all other duties assigned by the President.
Treasurer:
Keeps accurate records of funds and all expenditures, shall confer with Vice President on matters of expenditures and with the Secretary on matters of fundraising, and all other duties assigned by the President.
Elections:
A majority vote by members must be cast in order to obtain an executive position.
Meetings:
LCAS will meet once a week. Special meetings will be called by the President 24-48 hours before the actual meeting. All meetings will be open to those who would like to attend.
Amending:
Before an amendment will concur, the motion must be seconded, afterwards, a two-thirds vote of all present members must be passed in its favor for amendment to take place.
