Chapter Three: The Beginning of It All

Darien: “Are you all right?” Who is this girl? One moment she’s about to introduce herself and then next she’s sprawled out on the floor. Weird.
Michelle: “I think so.” Oh boy, there goes my dull boring, normal, I might say, everyday life, once again. Those are the breaks.
Darien: “You never did fully introduce yourself, so I once again ask my original question, ‘How may I help you?’”
Michelle: “Well, my name is Michelle Jones and I’m the exchange student from the United States. I was told that you had a room which I could use while I stay in Japan for the next year. That is correct information, is it not?” Uh oh, maybe he doesn’t have an extra room. This could be a problem.
Darien: “Oh yeah, I forgot that you were coming today.” Smooth move Darien, she must think that you are so stupid. Wait, why should I care what she think of me? Well, let’s see, she’s only the person who is going to be boarding with you for the next year. Stupid, stupid, stupid. “If you’ll come this way, I’ll show you to your room.”
Michelle: “Thank you. I’m sorry if I’ve inconvenienced you in any way.”
Darien: “Oh, no, not at all.” I feel as if I’ve met her before, but where... Maybe I’ll think of it later. “Are you sure that you’re fine?”
Michelle: “Thank you for asking, but I will tell you again that I’m fine. It’s probably just jetlag. I’m sure I’ll be fine by tomorrow.” No, I don’t think that I will ever me the same again. But Darien, that is not something that you can change, or anyone else for that matter, no matter how hard they tried. Still looking at all of the possibilities, I don’t think that I would want it any other way. “I’ll see you in the morning, Darien, and thanks for everything.” She exits into her bedroom.

Michelle: Wow, what a day. Not only am I now in Japan instead of the United States, but also I remember a whole part of my life that had been totally forgotten. If I am going to succeed at my mission, I’m going to have to try and remember everything that I can about life on the moon kingdom and about the other sailor scouts. But, at the moment, I need some sleep, maybe tomorrow.........................
Aquablade: “Just your normal everyday life. Nothing ever happens around here.”
Mercury: “We should be grateful for that. Trust me, you would not want to have to fight.”
Aquablade: “Oh come on Mercury, it would be fun. Wanna go duke it out on that nearby asteroid?”
Mercury: “No thanks ‘blade I particularly would like to keep my body in one piece. We all know that you could beat anyone of us scouts with your hands tied behind you back. We’ve all seen you take out those dummies at training practice. You know, they are intended to withstand significant amounts of power, not get blow into oblivion by one small blast.”
Aquablade: “I’m not that good.”
Mars: “Wanna bet, I agree with Mercury and, I’m glad that you’re on our side instead of the enemies.”
Aquablade: “Enemy, what enemy? I didn’t know there was an enemy. Why didn’t anyone tell me?!"
Mars: “Calm down, we just we notified of its existence. A message from one of their warriors said that they would attack tomorrow, we must be prepared.”
Mercury: “Did they give a name?”
Mars: “Yes, our enemy goes by the name... Beryl. She is said to be the Queen of the Negaverse and wants to destroy the moon so she can control the universe with her evil power. It’s time for a scout meeting. CallJupiter and Venus, this cannot wait long.”
At the meeting-------
Venus: “So, what’s this meeting all about?”
Jupiter: “Yeah, I was in the middle of a date and the guy looked kind of like my old boyfriend.”
Mars: “I have called this meeting because we have a new dangerous enemy on our hands and-”
Venus: “What, an enemy!”
Jupiter: “No way!”
Mars: “If you’ll let me finish, we have an enemy who goes by the name of Queen Beryl of the Negaverse. From the information I have gathered, I have learned that she is very powerful. Her goal is to take over the moon so she can conquer the whole galaxy and fill it with evil power from this place from the Negaverse. I have heard that she will attack tomorrow, but we must be on our guards until this crisis has passed.”
Mercury: “Yes, we must be as attentive as possible. It is our duty to protect the princess, the heir to the throne.”
Aquablade: “Speaking of the princess, where is she?”
Mercury: “She’s.........”
Luna: “Under attack, we’re under attack!”
Aquablade: “Come on scouts, that’s our cue to kick some Nega-butt.”
Mars: “Let’s go.”
The battle-------
Mercury: “Aquablade, guard our backs, you must be prepared to run and guard the princess if we fail.”
Mercury: “Mercury Bubbles Blast!”
Venus: “Venus Crescent Beam Smash!”
Jupiter: “Jupiter Thunder Crash!”
Mars: “Mars Fire Ignite!”
Mars: “Hey, why didn’t anything happen? My power didn’t even put a dent in that shadow creature.”
Mercury: “It appears that Beryl’s monster is immune to our powers.”
Venus: “What should we do then? How can we... Watch out, it’s attacking!”
A combination of all the senshi attacks is fired right back at them!
Jupiter: “That was close, we were almost blown to bits.”
Mercury: “It seems that it is able to harness all the energy that is aimed towards it and redirect it.”
Mars: “Well if we can’t attack it, then how are we suppose to protect the kingdom?”
Mercury: “I’m thinking, just give me a minute. Wait, I have it.”
Venus: “What?”
A huge wave of turquoise energy flies past the scouts and hits the enemy without any effect.
Mars: “Aquablade, you moron.”
Aquablade: “What, what’d I do?”
Mercury: “You just gave the shadow enough energy that it could easily destroy this whole kingdom.”
Aquablade: “Woops.”
Mars: “That’s all you can say, ‘woops’? You just set the fate for us all; we’re all going to die. Watch out, it’s attacking again!”
Aquablade: I need a force field like I’ve never had to produce before. I need to protect the princess, where is she, oh no, she’s dead! Along with the prince of earth. NO! I’ve failed! I must save the queen and the rest of the kingdom. FORCE FIELD ENGAGE! (Blast) There goes the blast from that evil beast. The dust is clearing; now, let’s see just how much damage that blast did. No, my force field wasn’t big enough! The scouts, all dead, no, it can’t be, it’s all my fault. The princess is dead, the scouts are dead, and the prince of earth is dead too. There is no hope for this galaxy anymore; Beryl will take over without any resistance.And, it’s all my fault, all my fault...
Michelle: But, she didn’t take over because Queen Serenity gave her life by using the silver crystal so we could all live our lives. I failed my Queen once by not protecting the princess, but, I WILL NOT, I repeat, will not fail again.
