Sailor Scorpio: Prologue

In a millenium unlike ours, a fantasy away, where lovers are worshiped, no one ages, there lived a girl. Her name was Miara and she lived in what was then called the Silver Millenium. She and her parents lived on the constalation Scorpio and ruled as King and Queen, this was also where the central security was stationed to keep watch over the Milky Way, where this time of Tranquility is set.

There really wasn't much to watch, considering how peaceful the kingdom was so her parents were very leanient. Princess Miara was very calm and incredibly intellegent and her smile brought sunshine to the cloudiest faces. Her hair was a soft brown, flown short over her shoulder and her eyes were deep brown with sparkles of saphire making her irresistable to all. She became childhood friends with princess Serenity of the moon and they kept a closer relationship from letters updating their love life and other gossip.

On the occasional trips to the Silver Palace they would spend hours together just enjoying their company and Miara soon came to know Serenity's court very well. Serenity talked for hours about her lover from earth and how they were destined and many stories that would have gave Miara a rage of jealousy.

However, Miara was in love with only one, Leonion, the Prince from the conselation Leo.

He had stolen her heart from the minute she met him at a ball where Serenity had introduced them and she hadn't spent a moment without him since. They spent days and nights star hopping and longing for their future together.

On Miara's 17th birthday Leonion gave her a Silver Star and a silver necklace, "For all of our star hopping moments and for more to come, promise me we'll always be together," he said as he linked the chain around her neck.

"How could we not, we were destined, we will always be together, I PROMISE," Miara responded.

The passion that they shared with each other was envied by many. Then an evil ruler named Beryl from earth threatned their kingdom and Queen Serenity demanded Security let no one from the earth on the royal grounds. During this time Miara received letters from the Princess Serenity and they were tear stained because she could no longer see her love. Miara opened a code with Leonion's help, to get Endymion into the Kingdom secretly.

One night, when she and Leonion were stargazing, they carelessly left security grounds forgetting to turn the codeback on. They quickly returned to Miara's palace only to find the King and Queen dead, their bodies carelessly thrown against the stone walls and dismangled. Beside them stood Queen Beryl of Earth with a twisted grin on her face in proclamation of victory.

Miara flew into a rage of tears falling helplessly to the floor while fury raged in Leonion and he turned to fight only to find the wicked queen in his face.

"What do you want?" he stammered.

"Ha, nothing you can give, you lovers are so pathetic and weak!" And with that she waved her hand and Leonion's body was slammed against the palace walls with a force such that the stone should have shattered. His body was smashed and limp as he slid onto the floor and all he could do was groan with pain.

Miara rushed to his side grieving in a flood of tears. "No, No, you promised, you can't die you promised!!!" she screamed, "No, you promised, and don't forget that."

"I will always be with you." And with these last words he drew out his last breath and died. Miara, still mordified, turned to Beryl. "What the Hell do you think you are doing?" she said

"Why princess, I am ruining your sad and pitiful life, but your family is boring and I have more important matters on my hand, I leave you now to finish what is left of this Silver Millennium."

Beryl turned to leave, "Oh no you don't."Miara tried to pull herself together, "With a push of this button I will warn the whole Milky Way , you will be stopped!" Miara stammered reaching for the red button she had never used before on the red panel.

"We can't have that now, can we?" And with that, Beryl threw a blast at Miara that hit her like a thousand knives and she collapsed to the floor. Beryl laughed with the enjoyment that her plan was going so well and left Scorpio in direction of the silver palace. Miara knew she could warn Serenity, but she didn't think her body could move to the panel. With her last ounce of strength, she reached the button and slammed it hard, and died.

At this time Princess Serenity and Endymion were killed in a battle at the Silver Palace and Queen Serenity with her last strength of theSilver crystal, sent the princess, her prince, and her court to earth. In hopes that they would live again to see a better world.
